About Eva
My name is Eva Red, the creative mind behind Chandra V. My passion for clothing began at the age of six when I first dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. Despite my father not supporting that vision back then, over the past two years, I have rediscovered that passion through designing clothes for fun. My designs embody a style that is classy, elegant, and easy to wear. I focus on how I style and express myself, which shapes the vision for Chandra V.
Chandra V is more than just a brand; it’s a tribute to my heritage. The name 'Chandra V' is derived from my birth name, Chandra Vakia, a name given to me by my mother. She was a woman of simplicity and strength, with an incredible eye for fashion. Her style was understated yet powerful. She knew how to take the simplest of pieces and make them come alive—effortless yet undeniably beautiful.
My father, in contrast, is lavish, bold, and boundless in his approach to fashion. His style knows no limits, and growing up, I learned from him the importance of being daring and adventurous with one’s wardrobe. Together, my parents instilled in me the balance of simplicity and extravagance that influences my designs today.
But my journey into fashion didn’t just start with my parents. I grew up on the stage, surrounded by performance and artistry from a young age. I was a model, a singer, and a dancer—each discipline contributing to my deep understanding of expression through movement and appearance. Modeling taught me how clothes should move with the body, while singing and dancing revealed the power of presence and performance.
“Modeling taught me how clothes should move with the body”
The stage became my second home. It wasn’t just about the spotlight—it was about using every aspect of my body to convey a story. Through modeling, I learned the importance of how clothing shapes the way you carry yourself, while dancing taught me the connection between movement and fabric. Singing gave me a sense of rhythm and flow, helping me understand the harmony between design and the human body. These experiences shaped my approach to fashion. I design not just for appearance, but for the way a garment makes you feel—how it enhances the energy you bring into a room.
Each performance, whether on the runway or the stage, revealed how clothing can empower, how it can transform someone into a version of themselves they’ve never seen before. It’s this passion for transformation and self-expression that drives my designs. I don’t just want to create beautiful clothes—I want to craft pieces that make a statement, that help every woman embody her full potential.
“I want to craft pieces that make a statement”
Through Chandra V, I want every woman to feel seen, understood, and celebrated. My designs are not just about following trends; they are about embracing individuality and showing the world who you truly are. Each piece I create is a reflection of my belief that fashion should be a form of personal empowerment, an extension of who you are and the story you want to tell.
I am a self-taught fashion designer. I didn’t attend a formal fashion school, but my love for design and natural curiosity led me to teach myself the skills I needed to bring my visions to life. Every piece I create is born from my personal experience, my intuition, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
I believe fashion is an art form that empowers people, elevating not just their look, but their spirit. With every piece I design, I want to create that connection between the garment and the woman who wears it—just as I’ve experienced on the stage for so many years.
Chandra V is a celebration of beauty, strength, and individuality. Every woman deserves to feel powerful, elegant, and unapologetically herself. And that’s what I aim to give with every piece I create.
